The CDC announced changes to their recommended safety protocols on May 16, 2021 (click here for the full update). The CDC updated mask recommendations for FULLY VACCINATED people, making no changes for people who are not yet FULLY vaccinated (defined as having received all shots and allowing a minimum of 2 weeks). As we process this update and closely assess local numbers, we continue to implement several safety measures in consideration of the health of everyone in our studio community, including the immunocompromised and medically vulnerable.
We continue offering our new alternating schedule to provide every client with the option you most prefer. These updates are in direct response to the results of our client survey indicating a desire for both options.
- Masks are worn when entering and exiting the studio.
- Monday, Wednesday and Saturday classes are mask-required at all times inside the studio.
- Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday classes are mask-optional WHEN ON YOUR MAT, meaning masks are worn when entering and exiting, and can be removed when you are on your individual 6x6 mat inside the workout room.
- On Fridays, we offer online and on-demand ONLY to perform a deep cleaning of the studio.
All clients and staff are required to wear masks in all common areas, and can take masks off on mask-optional days (Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday) only when they are on their personal 6x6 ft mat.
We currently limit in-studio classes to 7 clients, and clients are spaced at least 6 feet apart from each other, and our enhanced cleaning process remains in place. Temperature checks, hand sanitizer and cleaning protocols remain in place.
We will evaluate our policies monthly and adjust as necessary. We continue to align our responsibility to the safety of our community with the latest data and CDC guidelines, focused on the goal of reaching a fully mask-optional status soon.
For clients who do not live in the area, or who feel safest staying home, please enjoy our online studio for meditation, barre, mat Pilates, yoga and workshops at your fingertips! Livestream classes are marked as "Virtual" on our schedule, and available anywhere with internet access.
Approximately 60 minutes before each class begins, an email with a unique link and password will be sent from firstname.lastname@example.org. Please be sure to check your Spam and Junk folders if you do not see it, or contact Alli for assistance.
Beginning May 1st, we will be offering designated mask-required and designated mask-optional in-studio days. This is in direct response to the results of our April client survey indicating a desire for both options. Based on May's participation, we will evaluate and adjust our mask policy as necessary. Monday, Wednesday and Saturday classes will remain mask-required; Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday classes will be mask-optional. All clients and staff are required to wear masks in all common areas, and can take masks off on mask-optional days (Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday) only when they are on their personal 6x6 ft mat.
We recommend a mask with a nose clip that allows a secure fit over your nose, and a "spine" that protects from the cloth moving inward when you inhale. Breaks are encouraged as needed to ensure your comfort, as is breathing through your nose more than through your mouth. Amazing what a big difference it makes!
Clients attending in-studio classes are greeted at the door to have temperatures checked prior to entering the studio. Any clients with a temperature over 100 will be retested in a few minutes and, if their temperature stays over 100, will be asked to come back at another time.
Prior to entering the studio, clients use a touchless hand sanitizer to clean their hands. All equipment is sanitized by staff prior to class, then clients are provided a wipe after class to wipe down their weights, ball, barre and mat. A third round of sanitizing happens by the staff after class as well.
We are operating at limited-capacity during these times, allowing no more than 7 clients per class. Each client is guided to a 6x6 foot yoga mat, with several feet between the mats to ensure adequate safe distancing.
In order to avoid gathering, staff will bring weights and other equipment to each client then return it to the equipment area after being cleaned.
